With a weekend back home...

We all know it will involve food. Food, family and friends.

We spent the weekend back where we grew up and had quality time with some of the people that mean most to us. The sun was out which made for a day in the park, even if we were silly enough to go 'black on black... on black' Ahhh well, you can't go wrong with black. There was cheesecake, mocktails and sun...

After a day writing in the park with the gorgeous mum it was time to get dolled up and head for a girlie night out at Rock Salt in Ascot. They treated us lovely and made us custom mocktails. We live a balanced lifestyle, which meant french fries and a sundae were on the menu to indulge in. They were truly worth it. We then went back to our friends and talked about things that would make boys cry... i shall not share, but girls... I'm sure you can imagine.

On a day out with her mum...

Eat,  laugh, talk, write.
There is nothing better than good ol quality time with our mum. She our best friend, confidant, therapist, the double to our act and nothing feels right unless we are chin wagging and talking about life. The shallow bits the deep bits the good the bad. We can talk for England.
So on a hot summers day, a trip to the roof top bar an Boundary in Shoreditch was just what the doctor ordered. We ate almonds and drank our non alcoholic cocktails into the long afternoon, we discussed how we are going to change the world and live life to the full, and when the sun set we went to see 'Begin Again' with Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightly. Not a bad watch, not the best either. We were left in ore of Keira's wardrobe for the film though. Oh and how pretty she looked too.

if she had a conversation with Sal (Some monologues from our script 'Broken Dolls)

Soooo, Sal...
You know how I'm nearly thirty...

Yup, no, I am totally OK with it, I mean it's fine. I got ID'd the other day. Ridiculous because I was buying Camembert and red wine, please tell me what teenager eats Camembert. When I was fifteen I was buying cheese strings and Bacardi Breezers... Although Sal, youngsters are far more sophisticated than we ever were. I saw a thirteen year old smoking an electric ciggie on the bus. It's actually cool 'not' to smoke.

Anyway, I digress. The thing is Sal, you are good at being an adult, I mean look at you, you wear matching socks and I on the other hand have my card declined when buying toothpaste. So bare this in mind when I tell you... I'm nearly thirty and I have... crabs.

Yes crabs, and I thought I should tell you because we share towels... Well then I thought I should tell you that sometimes I use your posh, fluffy towels.

I slept with Derek, yes the one that wears cuban heels.

Because Sal, I had not had sex for like six months... Fine, split hairs... 'nine' months. And I had had two glasses of wine... and he said I had nicheeehands.

What? Sorry?

Oh alright... because he said I had NICE HANDS, alright, satisfied? You know what Sal, screw you and your judgey face. Sometimes I'm vulnerable, sometimes I'm a little bit needy...

And sometimes... I do not shave down there for more than NINE months.

Where’s the fricking sun gone? Pic by the wavy @rayfiasco...

If she had an idol...

When we were growing up, dreaming of stardom and the big and small screen, we had people we looked up to. Women that inspired us, made us laugh and made us want to get up on stage or behind the camera and do something great. Strong women with a strong sense of self, who made us pee our pants. They still, today, are women we look up to.

Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep

Brenda Blethyn

Bette Middler

Dawn French

Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley

Julie Walters

Victoria Wood

Susan Sarondon and Genea Davis

At an Arcadia Christmas edit...

Walk around in ore for at least an hour, look for price tags and then remember your not actually shopping and these items are not actually for sale. Esh kapesh.
The whole event tested our will power. It took everything in us not to whip off our boring clothes and change into all the lovely, beautiful Christmas editions. Our eyes... sparkled as we looked around the room. Not only at the scrumptious clothes, but there was a cocktail bar... and canapés. Dare I say it, our fav type of food. Lots of it in small form. What could be better. A mini canapé burger is obviously only 20 calories, no need to calorie count at this do.
Whilst we sipped our cookies and cream Cocktail from a mini milk bottle (obviously making it taste ten times better) we sort through rails of Topshop, Miss self ridge,  Wallis, Bhs... and we tingled with joy... why the heck wasn't it Christmas yet.

Here's a breakdown of a few of our favs and what they will have on offer...

Topshop
Navy, fur, long gowns, grey, jumpers, Co ordinates and .... galore.

Miss selfridge
A Sparkles and vintage affair.

Wallis
Creams, pastels, nudes, pretty girly pieces to have you looking chic through the whole party season.

Alice in Wonderland...

At a press launch for Virtusize at 'Duck and Waffle'...

Eat all the scrummy breakfast she can possibly fit in her belly of course.

There is nothing we love more than food (except for fashion) but free food and Duck and Waffle free food... well now, that is another story. We were assisting the style editor of Loaded magazine to the press launch for 'Virtusize' an on-line retailers dream.

The concept behind their programme is that it will allow people to shop on-line far more easier than ever before. We all know we go to order something from Asos or Topshop and of course, it looks great on said model. The model with legs up to her armpits and a waist the size of our ankle, but how will that dress actually look on our legs which most certainly don't go up to our armpits. Of course, we can look at the measurements of the garment and measure our waist that is most definitely bigger than our ankles, and we can see that yes, perhaps it will fit, but how it fits is a whole other ball game. So Virtusize ask you to take three measurements of a dress that fits you perfectly, and it will personally, on the spot, compare the garment you want to buy to the one you already own, that fits like a glove. It will even suggests the best matched size. Once you have measured one garment, Virtusize store this information so you only have to measure the key garments once... ermmm, perfect much? Well not only this, their new version does online comparisons to past on-line purchases you have made... So, your searching on Asos and you see a fab pair of cigarette pants that you couldn't possibly live without, you want to know if these will fit as well as your Zara ones you bought last month (stop judging, you can never have too many cigarette pants) and Virtusize will compare the items and you will be able to see if these Asos ones will fit you just as well as the Zara ones you bought.

Well, need I say more. Anything that saves us time and energy and makes on-line shopping that little bit easier, we are down for. So next time your on Asos, see the 'fit visualiser' tab and click it... and the rest is pretty self explanatory.

Now where were we... oh yes, scrummy food made by the lovely chefs at Duck and Waffle @tomCenci and @DanDoherty

We were looked after well and we can't thank the Virtusize team enough... now, we are off to do some on-line shopping...
